Origami Crane Chain

Once you get the hang of the origami crane, this is a quick and simple gift to make. Great if you've left things to the last minute!
You will need:
-
6-8 squares of paper (any size you like, however 6"x6" is good)
-
A needle and thread
-
Some small beads
-
Anything else you may wish to add!

Costings:
This is a simple decoration that will cost you next to nothing to make.
You can buy some nice paper or better still, recycle the likes of sheet music, maps and magazine cut outs.
You can add things such as charms or why not be a bit more rustic and add a pine cone or some feathers at the end of you chain.
If recycled materials are used and you already have a needle and thread, the only spending will be on a few small beads. You can make this thoughtful gift for well under 50p.

Step 1:
To make an origami crane, begin by creasing your square of paper as seen above.
Follow the tutorial to learn how to make an origami crane.
Making the cranes
Step 2:
threading the cranes together

Take your thread and tie it around any charms you want at the bottom of the crane chain.

The bead should now be secure.

Put your thread through the bead as seen above, leaving loop.

Simply take the thread through the centre of your crane with the needle and the bead will keep it in place.

With the needle take the thread through the loop you just made.
Do this with each of your cranes then tie a loop at the end for hanging.
